The class S2Kernel is needed in MTEX to define the specific form of fibre ODFs. It has to be passed as an argument when calling the methods fibreODF. For more information take a look at the documentation.
A kernel is a radially symmetric function on the sphere and is stored by its Legendre coefficients A. Deriving classes give A a closed form, the arithmetics and the evaluation are inherited from here.
Syntax
psi = S2Kernel(A)
psi = S2Kernel(A,fun)Input
| A | Legendre coefficients |
| fun | @function_handle for exact evaluation in the angle |
Output
| psi | S2Kernel |
Options
| normalized | multiply A by 2*l+1 |
Class Properties
| A | Legendre coefficients |
| bandwidth | maximum Legendre degree |
