sphericalPlot edit page

sphericalPlot is responsible for visualizing spherical data

One per axes, stored in its appdata. It owns everything around the data - the projection, the outer boundary, the grid, the tick and Miller labels and the axes annotation of the reference frame - so that a second plot into the same axes reuses them instead of drawing them again.

Note that plot(...,'3d') builds no sphericalPlot at all; annotateFrame is the seam the two paths share.

Syntax

sP = sphericalPlot(ax,proj)
sP = getappdata(gca,'sphericalPlot')

Input

ax the axes handle
proj sphericalProjection

Class Properties

proj sphericalProjection
sphericalRegion the region being plotted
antipodal identify v and -v
boundary the outer boundary
bounds [minx miny maxx maxy] of the projected region
grid the spherical grid lines
ticks the tick labels
labels Miller indices at the vertices of the region
axesLabels X / Y / Z of the reference frame
ax the axes handle
parent the figure containing the plot
hemispheres the halves this plot consists of
TL, TR, BL, BR the four corner annotations
minData, maxData data range, shown if dispMinMax
