phi2Sections edit page

phi2 sections for ODF and orientation plotting

Sections of constant Bunge Euler angle phi2, with Phi and phi1 as the polar and azimuthal coordinate within a section. The classical way of presenting a rolling texture.

Syntax

oS = phi2Sections(cs1,cs2)
oS = phi2Sections(cs1,cs2,'sections',5)
oS = phi2Sections(cs1,cs2,'phi2',(0:15:90)*degree)

Input

cs1, cs2 crystalSymmetry, specimenSymmetry

Options

sections number of sections
phi2 explicit section values
secResolution spacing between the sections
maxPhi restrict the Phi range
maxphi1 restrict the phi1 range

Class Properties

phi2 the value of each section
maxphi2 the phi2 period of the symmetry pair
sR sphericalRegion each section is plotted on

Example

odf = calcODF(pf,'silent');
plotSection(odf,'phi2')
pf = PoleFigure (y↓→x)
