3d plot of orientation space in homochoric coordinates
The homochoric parametrisation scales the rotational axis such that volume is preserved, i.e. equal volumes in the ball correspond to equal volumes in orientation space. That makes it the right one for judging the density of a cloud of orientations by eye.
