S2KernelHandle edit page

defines a kernel function as a function of the rotational angle

Wraps an arbitrary function of the cosine of the polar angle into an S2Kernel. Its Legendre coefficients are computed by quadrature unless they are passed in.

Syntax

psi = S2KernelHandle(fun)
psi = S2KernelHandle(fun,A)

Input

fun @function_handle of cos(theta)
A Legendre coefficients, computed by quadrature if omitted

Output

psi S2Kernel

Class Properties

fun the @function_handle
A Legendre coefficients
bandwidth maximum Legendre degree
