return the angular halfwidth of a kernel in radians.

Syntax

h = halfwidth(psi)

Description

For an MTEX object, halfwidth(x, …) calls x.halfwidth(…). Additional positional and keyword arguments are passed to that method unchanged. Its documentation specifies the accepted inputs, units, symmetry handling and optional outputs. Consult the corresponding method for the behaviour of a particular object type.

Signature

halfwidth(x, *args, **kwargs)

Methods it calls

fibreVonMisesFisherKernel the halfwidth in closed form, acos(1 - log(2) / kappa)
S1BumpKernel the halfwidth, the half length delta of the interval
S1GaussKernel the halfwidth in closed form, sigma sqrt(2 log 2)
S2BumpKernel the halfwidth, the radius delta of the cap
S2DeLaValleePoussinKernel the halfwidth in closed form, acos(2 * 2^(-1 / kappa) - 1)
SO3BumpKernel the halfwidth, the radius delta of the bump
SO3DeLaValleePoussinKernel the halfwidth in closed form, 2 acos(2^(-1 / (2 kappa)))
SO3vonMisesFisherKernel the halfwidth in closed form, acos(1 - log(2) / kappa)
