sections of constant rotation angle, each on the axis sector the region allows there

Syntax

axisAngleSections(cs1, cs2, angles=np.arange(10, 181, 20)*degree)
axisAngleSections(cs1, cs2, sections=5, volumeScaling=False, antipodal=True)

Input

frameA first reference frame
frameB second reference frame; None uses the default specimen frame
sections number of equally spaced angle bins; their midpoints set section angles when supplied
angles explicit rotation angles in radians; angles beyond the fundamental-region limit are dropped
values alternative explicit angle array, taking precedence over angles
tol angular assignment tolerance in radians; default 5*degree
antipodal impose grain-exchange symmetry; default False
volumeScaling rescale charts with angle to account for orientation-space volume; default True
axisAngle alternative angle array, taking precedence over values and angles

Members

angles the rotation angles of the sections
orientationsAt the orientations at axes vs rotated by the angle of section k
outerSector the sector the axes are drawn on, the conventional sector of the rotations both frames share
sectionCharts the chart section k is drawn on, the axis sector the region allows at its angle
sectionData where orientations fall: the rotation axes of their projections into the fundamental region, the section of their angle and the index of the orientation
sectionLabel the title of section k, the rotation angle in degrees
sectionScale the sector shrinks with the angle, so the axes grow with 1/sin(w/2) to keep areas comparable
